La Tène is a six‑headed creature from which a single, shared energy emanates. If one hears here the resonance of traditional music, saturated repetition, ethereal harmonics, or an imagined dance, it is because they coexist in La Tène’s music as a single thread torn from its roots.
The Franco‑Swiss group produces music in which every influence, however deep it may run, is cut into motifs that become themes. This is not about breaking models, but about allowing them to exist, hewn from rock like so many fragments to be reconstructed. There is no starting line or finish, no familiar verses; these are lost from the very first impacts the body receives. One encounters obstacles raised like statues, familiar strangers, snatches heard elsewhere, multiplied angles, and just as many repeated gestures.
