The Italian psych-fuzz trio Black Rainbows sound like the bastard offspring of ’70s hard-rock swagger and ’90s stoner-groove; hints of Black Sabbath, MC5 and Led Zeppelin fuse with liberal pinches of Nebula and Fu Manchu. Since 2007 the band have released three full-length albums, coupled with split releases with bands such as White Hills, Naam and Farflung, and finally the recently highly acclaimed Holy Moon Ep. They have also been regulars on stages across the world having now performed over 300 gigs.
New album Hawkdope is a perfect mix of MONSTER MAGNET-HAWKWIND-FU MANCHU; a psychedelic, lysergic storm of heavy space-rock containing nine brand new tracks.
Out 14th March 2015 worldwide for Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
The band will hit the road in Europe from 18th to 29th March and again from 28th April to to 6th May, followed by a mini UK tour at the end of May.

» Giobia (IT) (Acid Rock)
» Deadsmoke (IT) (Doom / Sludge)
Deadsmoke is an Italian doom sludge band that sounds like amplifiers buried in the deep, with down-tuned monolithic guitar riff scraping the soil down to the core of the earth.
Slow, hypnotic, dissonant cadences recall the eternal need for isolation and the atavistic fear of nothingness. Sub-frequencies corrode the one last trace of human cognition, apprehension and judgment.
Your soul is already burned, smoke is what remains.
» The Sonic Dawn (DK) (Psychedelic Rock)
The Sonic Dawn is a trip – a psychedelic mixture of styles, from jazzy sitar pop to heavy acid rock. Expect melodic songs with a 60s flavor, laced with dreamy vocals and delivered with an explosive stage presence.
Their 2015 debut album became the start of The Sonic Dawn’s international career and caused reviewers to speculate that they might be “the next big band of the current retro rock wave” (Eclipsed Magazine). Since the release they have been on several European tours. A highlight of 2016 was opening the notorious Freak Valley Festival, sharing the stage with Graveyard and Dead Meadow. This year they can be experienced all over Europe again, confirmed for some of the best venues and festivals, such as Liverpool Psych Fest.
Into the Long Night is the trio’s second and most ambitious album yet. Written by day and recorded at night during a month of complete isolation by The North Sea, it is as light and gracious as it is dark and mysterious. Released on Heavy Psych Sounds, world-wide on April 21st, 2017, it was warmly received by the music press:
