EXTRA LIFE (US) (Experimental / Pop / Alternative)
Extra Life was formed in 2007 as the main vehicle for New York-based composer/vocalist/guitarist, Charlie Looker. The band plays a highly unusual synthesis of dark pop, math/prog rock, metal, modern classical, and ancient liturgical music. Looker was a founding member of NY noise-chamber outfit ZS, and has been a prolific collaborator across the experimental music scene, with credits including Dirty Projectors, Xiu Xiu, John Zorn, Lingua Ignota, Tyondai Braxton, and Amanda Palmer.Extra Life's debut full-length Secular Works was released in 2008 on Planaria Records/LOAF Recordings to critical acclaim. The band toured the U.S. and Europe, with appearances at festivals including Primavera Sound (Spain), Villette Sonique (FR), Bad Bonn (CH), and Moers (DE). This was followed by the sophomore album Made Flesh (LOAF Recordings 2010), and the EP Ripped Heart (Last Things 2011), which featured a more accessible, indie-friendly sound. More international touring followed, which saw the band sharing bills with heavy weights including Sonic Youth, Ariel Pink, Deerhoof, Owen Pallett, and Chelsea Wolfe. In 2012, Extra Life's third full-length, Dream Seeds, was released by Northern Spy Records, foregrounding the band's atmospheric, darkwave side. U.S. and EU tours included spots at Impetus Festival (Switzerland) and Discorporate Festival (Germany). Looker disbanded Extra Life in 2013, to focus on his work as a classical composer, and on his industrial metal band, Psalm Zero. After a nine year hiatus, Looker reunited Extra Life in 2022, with a new line-up including Toby Driver (Kayo Dot). They released Secular Works, Vol. 2. on Looker's own label, Last Things, which garnered praise internationally. In 2023, the band did a month-long tour of the EU and UK, and in 2024, they will return to EU for another month, including a slot at A Colossal Weekend festival (Copenhagen).

A BURIAL AT SEA (UK) (Post Rock)
ABAS is the experimental music project of Irish duo Patrick Blaney and Dara Tohill. The band have been labelled as progressive postrock that draws from their influences of 90's shoegaze posthardcore and Neoclassical. The usual rock n' roll setup of guitar, bass, drums is bolstered by a mini two-man horn section, which has resulted in the band to be labeled as «trumpet-core» and «post-rock mariachi».Following the release of their debut EP in 2017 the band began were able to attract attention of the experimental music scene supporting genre-defining heavyweights Tera Melos and And So I Watch You From Afar. The band toured relentlessly across Europe from 2018-2019, often for months at a time, even once resulting in the hospitalization of a band member. The extensive tours included more high-profile shows including, an appearance at Bergmal Festival 2019 in Zürich, Post In Paris 2019 and A Colossal Weekend in Copenhagen 2022.2023 will see the band releasing their new album on Pelagic Records as well as heading out on a month long tour including performances at Dunk!Fest in Ghent, Portals Festival in London and European 11 dates with And So I Watch You From Afar

ZEMLYA (BE) (Experimental / Ambient)
Under the name of Zemlya, Maan Methven and Geraldine Vanspauwen shape the land of Zemlya's sound. Their self-titled debut EP was released by Bonambi on the 16th of March. Zemlya's «earth, land» is formed by spherical drone layers, serene distortion, voices and crashing cymbals. Joined by Victor Goemaere since 2024, their live performance shares energy between drums, bass, guitar and voice, that connects clarity and distortion, finds intimacy in feedback, and explores both rough noise and uplifting silence, soaking in the deeper fields of imagined landscapes.
