» Stranger Cole, Dr Ring Ding and The Steadytones (JM/DE) (Rocksteady / Ska Reggae)
This show is all about celebrating a more than three hours non-stop “Carribean Sound Festival” Revue. A tremendously authentic trip through Jamaican Music History starting at scratch with traditional Mento/Calypso tunes presented by the sensational hosting band The Steadytones featuring Dr. Ring Ding on trombone as well as Master of Ceremony.
The main act of the night is a superstar in traditional 60s SKA. An undisputed heavyweight of the genre outnumbering most of his colleagues with 12 Nr.1 Hits in Jamaica. The “Origininator of Reggae”, Mr. “Rough and Tough”: STRANGER COLE, if not the most charming performer among fellow pioneers of Jamaican music business is also known for releasing the first ever Reggae song called “Bangarang” recorded with the SKATALITES alto player Lester Sterling.
Next to presenting all his classic early reggae anthems the old school veteran will also be playing tunes from his new record “More Life”. This all original EP is released by Liquidator Music in Spain and is recorded with and by the hottest vintage reggae backing machine out of Germany: The Steadytones.

the originator and Creator who’ll still convince you that he just turned 21 when he enters the stage!
